The electric planer is a typical device for wood processing. It is most frequently used, where surface of the
material has to be evened and smoothed out. Planer is also an excellent assistant when making straight
or oblique grooves, chamfering and surface wood structuring.
A replaceable knife with adjustable depth of material removal is the working tool of the planer. The
standard planning knives are made of high-speed steel or with tungsten carbide.
The planer can also be used together with the stationary unit, thus replacing a small broaching machine
or thicknesser for bars, narrower boards, prisms and beams.
